Visual Rules Runtime

Visual Rules Runtime contains components which are used for rules execution at runtime. These components offer many additional benefits for your specific execution scenario.

  • Runtime library is a technical component needed to execute Visual Rules rule models within a Java Runtime Environment - consisting of ordinary JAR archives.
  • Artifact storage offers distinct features to run different rule versions at runtime.

Using Visual Rules Runtime, you can now directly integrate your business rules into any Java application and do not require a central server infrastructure for execution.

Hot Deployment of Rule Code

This Java framework is designed to support the management and execution of rules created with Visual Rules. The execution core provides hot deployment functionality for rule code to replace business rules during runtime without interruption or downtime of an application.

It is also intended to be integrated into third-party applications in order to enable hot deployment and execution of rule services there. Correct handling of different rule versions is another key feature of Visual Rules Runtime.
